"Overkill’s been around for a while..."
Overkill’s been around for a while because of Payday, so I wouldn’t say the studio or the site feels sketchy to me. I’ve bought their games and kept up with their stuff for years, and most of the time I’ve gotten pretty much what I expected.

That said, my trust in them is sorta up and down. Some updates, DLC decisions, and the way they communicate can feel a little messy. It’s not a terrible experience or anything, but I wouldn’t say I fully trust them without some hesitation either

"Fun co-op chaos with friends"
jumping back into Payday 2 has been a really good time. The heists can go sideways fast, but that’s kind of what makes it so fun with friends. Matchmaking worked fine for me too, so it was easy to hop in and start causing chaos.

"Community updates feel mixed"
They do reply here and there, which I appreciate, but the updates usually come in late. The whole community side of things just feels a bit messy sometimes

"Matchmaking is still a joke"
When the game actually works, it’s fun. But the matchmaking is just ridiculous, it takes forever, then dumps me into some completely random lobby like the system has no clue what it’s doing. The servers aren’t much better either, with all the disconnects lately making the whole thing feel kind of pathetic. I like the actual matches, but I’m getting tired of battling the connection more than the enemies.

The anti-cheat does seem to catch most of the blatant cheaters, and I’ve had reports get looked at, even if it sometimes takes longer than I’d like. I’ve still run into a couple sketchy lobbies where I couldn’t tell if people were just really good or doing something shady, so I’m not fully convinced everything is handled. That said, it does feel better than it used to. Decent improvement overall, but there’s definitely still some work to do.

The monetization seems fair to me. Most of it feels optional, and I never really felt pressured to buy extra stuff, if that makes sense

"Performs worse than it should"
I really wanted to enjoy this, but the performance has been rough. I’m getting stutters and random FPS drops, and changing the settings doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. My PC handles plenty of other games without issues, so compared to what I’m used to playing, this feels badly optimized. Seeing other people mention similar problems makes it even more frustrating after paying for it.

"Still playing, but the updates are kinda hit or miss"
I still have fun with it and I’m glad it’s around, but yeah, the updates feel a little uneven sometimes. Some changes are great, then others just kinda leave me wondering why they did that.

"Fun game, but it crashes here and there"
I’m still having fun with it, but yeah, it’s kinda buggy. Sometimes it just crashes out of nowhere, which gets annoying, but it’s not so bad that I can’t play. Rough around the edges, but still playable.

"Why did support take so long??"
I had a problem with my account getting help was a pain. Support barely got back to me, and there were days between replies?? When they finally answered, it didn’t really solve much. Frustrating, not gonna lie.

"Refund was actually quick and easy"
I had a little billing mixup and thought it might turn into a hassle, but they actually refunded me really fast and didn’t make a big deal out of it.

"DLC is pricey but I still kinda want it"
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the game, and I don’t regret playing it at all. But the DLC prices feel steep for what you get. Part of me thinks it’s not really worth buying, and then the other part keeps looking at the extra content like, okay, maybe I do want it. So yeah, fun game, but the DLC pricing leaves me a little annoyed.
